You Beauty Advent Calendar Discoveries
If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I was very lucky to have the You Beauty Advent Calendar to open everyday in December and behind each door was an amazing beauty product. I thought I would share with you some of the products I have discovered and fallen in love with from the Calendar. There will be some repurchasing when these run out.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - I have already spoke about this primer on here but this is a great lightweight primer for those who doesn't like thick silicone ones. Once applied you can't even tell its on the skin but it helps to keep your foundation on a lot longer than without it and keeps oil at bay.
Eyeko Eyelash Curlers - I have been a big fan of the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers for years but mine are getting quite old now so I was happy to try the Eyeko ones when I opened the door to them. Surprisingly I am impressed and I really do like these. They open wider than the Shu Uemura ones so I find it easier to get all my lashes and the curl lasts really well.
John Masters Organics Shampoo and Conditioner - I have heard a lot about this brand but with the higher price tag I have never tried John Masters products before. These gave me the softest, cleanest hair without being heavy or weighing it down, I am really impressed. I'm definitely eyeing up the full size versions now. The only downside to these little samples is, they are an absolute pain to get out of the bottle.
Teeez Desert Metal Mascara - I do love trying mascaras and this has a lovely bristle brush that is tapered so perfect for getting those tiny lashes. This doesn't give you full on dramatic lashes but for everyday use this is perfect.
Aromatherapy Associates Relax Candle - This smells amazing! It has West Indian Bay and Myrrh Essential oils in it which give a gentle but slightly musky scent that really helps give the room a relaxing atmosphere. I love burning this when I am having a pamper or before bed to help wind down.
Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion - I didn't think I was going to be that bothered about this but how wrong was I. This body lotion is really lightweight but so nourishing on the skin, I was left with super soft skin just after one use. The scent is slightly manly but I can look past that as it is a fantastic body lotion.
Rituals Fortune Scrub - This is a lovely body scrub for the mornings when you just can't wake up, the strong mandarin scent really helps liven you up and the scrub isn't too rough. This left my skin feeling smooth and soft without being drying, a really lovely body scrub.
I was really impressed with the You Beauty Advent Calendar and will be considering getting it again this year. Did you get a beauty advent calendar last year? Have you tried any of these products before?
