Yes, Well Elemental ? I'd Heard Sherlock Say to Watson " ...

Yes, well Elemental ? I'd heard Sherlock say to Watson " It's  elemental my dear Watson" ...sort of straightforward , obvious, pretty basic..... Ah ! More like basic to life itself ! The Elementals , the spirits of Earth, Wind(air) , Fire and Water....basic to life itself ! So, since I'd been working in the garden, digging up weeds I came up with the idea that I'd turn over the soil and reveal another world , yet one where these elements are still essential.
The Elementals
Mysterious forces at work today,
Left me confused and in a daze.
I lifted the soil, exposed the earth...
Revealed another world.
I entered into the dark recess
To see what I might see.
Gazed into the dark abyss
And another gazed at me !
He bade me enter,"Welcome , friend." Said he.
I followed at his lead, but followed carefully.
Suddenly the light was startling, exposing all around.
Revealing to me another world under our ground !
Water cascaded from high cliffs into a pool below,
Where undines frolicked in the depths and gestured for my soul.
But I fear the water and did not enter in..
The breeze grew fierce and tugged at my hair as the sylphs around me played
But like the "Helm Wind " it frightened me and I could not stay.
A flame arose which burned my brow, I turned my head in fear
"Oh, salamander, don't you come so near !"
Falling upon the good clean loam, I clenched the soil in my fist,
Praying that the gnomes might save me, as I love the earth so dear.
Yes, indeed I was returned to whence I came,
And was glad to see my own garden clearly once again !
