You guys. I live in Austin now!

I arrived Tuesday evening and spent the last 2 days unpacking everything. Getting our new apartment together has been exhausting and fun all at the same time. We still need a few pieces of furniture to complete it, but for the most part, we're all moved in!

I have to say, I'm really liking our new digs so far! Will went apartment hunting a few weeks. He sent me pictures of a few different places and we picked one together, but I was a bit nervous about not having seen the place in person. Now that I'm here, I can confidently say I'm happy with our decision. The apartment is a good size. We have a huge closet, floor to ceiling windows in the main space, a balcony and an awesome kitchen! The building also has a pool, a gym, and a coffee bar... with FREE Starbucks coffee! I could drink my rent worth of coffee in a month, so it's worth it just for that.

I want everything to be pretty-fied before I give you guys an apartment tour, so even though we still need some furniture, I'm already setting my sights on final touches.

Our living room furniture is all dark brown. In Brooklyn, we used red to accent the space, but now that we're in sunny Austin, I want to brighten things up a bit by accenting the room with yellow. I've been doing some online hunting and picked a few yellow things that I think will make the space light, bright and a little quirky (Austin's motto is, "Keep Austin Weird," after all), but I want your thoughts. Check out these yellow living room accents to love and tell me if I should actually love them, k? K!

I don't know what it is about this pillow, but I'm slightly obsessed. I mean, this zebra is just so chill. I figure if I come home everyday and see that chill zebra, I'll become chill by association, right?

I think this simple pillow would be a nice compliment to the quirkiness of the chill zebra. I could even go with pure yellow, but I like the contemporary vibes the gray stripes bring.

Do you guys know the street artist Banksy? He's a British street artist, activist and film maker with an unverified identity. His stuff is all over NYC, and I'm in love with it. We thought it'd be nice to get a wall decal that mimics one of his most famous murals, girl and balloon. The balloon is red in his original piece, but by the powers of Etsy, we're able to get it in yellow.

A living room is not a living room with a cozy throw blanket, right? This one looks so comfy and just oozes happiness.

Will has wanted a splatter cow rug forever. I was very adamant about not getting one, but I'm definitely starting to cave. This one seems like a good compromise. It's not the shape of a cow but it still has the soft hide feel.

So what do you think? Again, picture all of these against a dark brown couch and espresso wood furniture. Should we get all of the things? Some of the things? None of the things? Let me know your opinion in the comments.
