The Green Team Formula students, the developers behind the new car, has achieved this new speed thanks to the all-electric all-wheel drive which equips four electric motors for each wheel. The vehicle also only weighs 160 kilograms (353 pounds).

Officially, this is not recognizes as the fastest electric car. Although, it has broken the record for the “fastest accelerating” electric car. What’s more remarkable about this achievement is that this was done, not by some expert team of engineers at a multinational car manufacturer, but by a group of students.
