I've been away from my computer for a week and though I managed to schedule some reviews, I didn't schedule a post for Saturday, the day I usually put a picture on here. So here's something suitable for the season, which has suddenly -- and finally -- turned to autumn after the longest Indian summer I can remember. Everyone both in my part of France and in London was enjoying glorious sunshine on Friday and Saturday, but the rain set in yesterday and it's got quite chilly. This painting is by the American Impressionist artist Frederick Childe Hassam (1859-1935) and it's called Street Scene in Paris (1889).
