Winning with Chiropractic: Reggie Bush

By Georgiaclinic @ChiroAugustaGA

reggie-bushIn 2005 Reggie Bush, running back for the Detroit Lions, was a unanimous first-team All-American and winner of the Heisman Trophy. He was also named the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year, the Pigskin Club of Washington, D.C. Offensive Player of the Year, and the Touchdown Club of Columbus (Ohio) Player of the Year. In addition to the Walter Camp Award, Bush also won the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the nation’s best running back. He led the nation with an average of 222.3 all-purpose yards per game and finished fourth in the NCAA Division I-A ranks with an average of 133.85 rushing yards per game.

What is part of Bush’s success to his collegiate and NFL career?  Besides innate talent and old-fashioned hard work, Bush has been receiving regular chiropractic care since high school. “I look at chiropractic care as important to keeping me healthy and at the top of my game,” said the former Heisman Trophy winner and two-time national champion from the University of Southern California (USC).

Bush has also said “As a professional athlete, I am highly competitive - only accept the best. When it comes to healthcare, chiropractic is an essential service. It keeps on-field performance at it’s highest level and contributes to the success of the entire team!”

The Professional Football Chiropractic Society (PFCS) takes pride in announcing that all 32 teams in the National Football League provide their players and personnel with chiropractic physician services as part of the triage in managing and preventing injuries.

Numerous professional athletes are outspoken about their experiences with chiropractic care, including NFL Hall Of Famer Jerry Rice, who is the spokesman for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the public of the many benefits associated with chiropractic care.  Rice continues to attribute his longevity and performance to the benefits of chiropractic: ”I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractor made all the difference.”
