Wine Wednesday Val Du Charron Black Countess

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

The temperatures have dropped this week into the low 60’s and upper 50’s which means its time for the return of a nice heavy red. I opted for Black Countess from South Africa. Val du Charron is a wine and olive estate, guesthouse and spa. The pictures alone make me want to hop on a plane and head to South Africa right now (oh how I wish that could happen!).

The Black Countess is the perfect wine to sit and sip out by a fire with friends. It has notes of blackberry, butterscotch and a cigar like finish. This was a Swirl Wine Club find and really delicious.
