Wine Wednesday Salem Glen Winery

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

Scott and I took a long weekend to Lanesboro MN this past weekend. It is in South Eastern MN about 2 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities. On our way down there on Friday we stopped at 2 wineries that we had yet to visit.

The first on our stop was Salem Glen Winery just outside of Rochester. They’ve been open since 2006 and are making some great wines. Their winery is very picturesque and it’s the perfect spot to sit on a summer day on their beautiful patio. Salem Glen’s owner is also an amateur astrologer and is in the process of building his own observatory. Can you just picture sitting outside on a late summer night with a glass of wine looking at the stars. So pretty!

Our favorite wines were the Cygnus and the Marquette Rose. Perfect warm weather wines! We also wanted to spend they day snuggling with the winery dogs Haley and Storm. So darn cute.
