You know that bottle of wine you have been saving for a special occasion? We drank one of those bottles this past week. To celebrate closing on our house, it has been a he$$ of a process but its done and we can move on.
We have boxes put away, rooms painted, art hung and now we figure out the order of our project list ( bigger driveway, bathrooms, pole barn & the list goes on and on). After a weekend of nonstop work it felt good to make a full meal in our new kitchen and pull one of those saving for a special occasions bottles. This was our last bottle from our trip to Spain/Portugal in 2011.
Our deal was, when we bought a house we would open the last bottle. And we did. It was delicious. We thought about that trip where we got engaged and enjoyed every drop of that wine.
