Wine Wednesday F Stephen Millier Angels Reserve Zinfandel 2014

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

This past Saturday we hosted our annual party for a wine group we are part of. We had about 15 people and the theme this year was Zin. Thankfully only one bottle of white zin was there and that one was a joke. Instead we had a whole table of rich, dark, fruit forward with notes of berries and spice. It was wonderful for this red loving girl!

Everyone brings a wine to share (1 wine per person, a couple would bring 2) and some sort of appetizer of snack. I made salsa chicken in the crockpot and had fixings for tacos. Tortillas, beans, tomatoes, chese, guac, salsa. By the end of the night there was only a few bites of chicken left. I call that a success. And since we were outside by our patio, bar and pool area the mess was minimal. I’m also pretty good at cleaning up throughout the evening too! If you leave an empty plate, water bottle etc laying out chances are I will swoop by and pick it up. It makes end of the night cleanup so much easier.

We had 2 bottles of the F Stephen Millier Angles Reserve Zinfandel. Another one of my Naked Wines and the suggested retail price is $15.99 ($8.99 for Angels). This was a true California zin, rich, dark, notes of berries, a hint of tobacco/leather and had enough tannins to leave your mouth puckering. My kind of zin!
