Thanks to Nokia, Windows Phone survived getting wiped out of mobile operating system battle. However, it still lacks in its’ features but catching up to iOS and Android very slowly. Microsoft has just proved that by rolling out an improved version of the Voice App, which touts to make Windows Phone devices “twice as fast and 15 percent more accurate”, according to Windows Phone Blog.

Even though this is a great improvement for Windows Phone, Tech Crunch thinks that Microsoft should focus on improving more commonly used features than Voice Search. “There can be little doubt that voice recognition is a pretty hot area right now. Google, with its conversational search feature, is currently leading the way,”

Announcing the update, Microsoft released a new video where Bing’s Stefan Weitz and Microsoft Research’s Michael Tjalve talks about the improvements in this update. You can check that out after the jump.
