College of Management and Sciences (CoMS) was Established in 2008. With an initial intake of students in affiliation with Karachi University. CoMS today wants to give critical knowledge to its students  which they can apply in their workplace and which will help them to manage more effectively in an increasingly complex and changing environment. Due to this prime location students find it easy to interact with large corporations and their offices in the trading hub of the city. It is easily accessible from all parts of Karachi via public and private transport.

Library

The college library consists of a large collection on various books on business management, economics, accounting, finance, marketing, information technology and other subjects. It is regularly updated with latest books.

Computer labs

Students have access to two computer labs, with over 35 Workstations networked with internet connectivity, scanning and laser printing facility.  Word processing, database and spreadsheet software are available for students.  An IT Supervisor is also available for assistance and guidance.

Other Facilities

Cafeteria, Girls common room, Library, Computer labs, Standby Generator, Air conditioned classrooms, Multimedia projectors, Group study, and availability of past examination papers.

Purpose Built Building

A building which is specifically built for education purposes comprise of spacious rooms with white boards, multimedia projectors and comfortable chairs. One of the immense services of CoMS is to provide comfort in all aspects. Well furnished & Air conditioned Seminar Halls and classes are also present in the premises.

The faculty comprises of teachers with high academic achievements as well as successful practical business management experience some of whom have been internationally acclaimed.

Academic Calendar

The academic year is divided into two semesters:

Spring Semester:  January – May

Fall Semester:  August – December

Admissions Criteria to MBA 3 Years Evening Program

Admission into the MBA program is highly competitive and students are required to the meet the following criteria.

  • Bachelors Degree from a recognized university with minimum aggregate of 45%.

Masters of Business Administration (MBA) – 3 Years Evening Program

The MBA (Evening) degree requires the completion of 24 courses for cumulative of 72 credit hours, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2 required for graduation.  The program is conducted in evenings and week-ends (Saturday-Sunday) to enable working professionals to enhance their qualifications.

Affordable fee structure

CoMS is offering an affordable fee structure for all the students, we also give special discount to financially weak students, except in the examination & enrollment fees of Karachi university business school (KUBS).

Assessment

The assessment may include a variety of forms such as written examinations, assignments, essays, project reports, presentations, field-work or other forms of assessment appropriate to the objectives of the subject.

As a general guideline, CoMS faculty shall follow the following distribution of marks in a courses:

a)  Mid-Term Exam 10 Marks

b)  Quizzes 5 Marks

c)  Assignments 5 Marks

d)  Attendance 5 Marks

e)  Internal Exam 15 Marks

Total 40 Marks

Final Exam by Karachi University 60 Marks

Total 100 Marks

The Final Exam shall be set and conducted by the University of Karachi.
