Yes you are gorgeous. You are perfect just the way you are. Mass market clothing is not being made for you as an individual, to fit and flatter (which is why you need to expect alterations). It's about selling to the most people possible (it's about making money, not making you look and feel great).

Next time you're in a change room and something doesn't make you look great, I want you to remember this and say to yourself:

Don't let the clothes make you feel bad or that your body is anything less than perfect. Love your body, it's the only one you have.

Look in the mirror and say to yourself out loud "You are perfect and I love you". Do this every day! Our brains are wired to believe what they hear (and I bet you've been doing a lot more negative self-talk than positive, it's time to make a change).
