where the mind is without fear !!

Fear is in the mind - Fear is an intensely unpleasant emotion in response to perceiving or recognizing a danger or threat. Fear causes physiological changes that may produce behavioral reactions.  Fear is one of the universal emotions experienced by everyone around the world. Fear arises with the threat of harm, either physical, emotional, or psychological, real or imagined.

While traditionally considered a “negative” emotion, fear actually serves an important role in keeping us safe as it mobilizes us to cope with potential danger.  If people didn’t feel fear, they wouldn’t be able to protect themselves from legitimate threats. Fear is a vital response to physical and emotional danger that has been pivotal throughout human evolution,

Fear is a primal emotion that involves a universal biochemical response and a high individual emotional response. Fear alerts us to the presence of danger or the threat of harm, whether that danger is physical or psychological. Sometimes fear stems from real threats, but it can also originate from imagined dangers. While fear is a natural response to some situations, it can also lead to distress and disruption when extreme or out of proportion to the actual threat. Fear can also be a symptom of some mental health conditions, including panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias and more.

“Where The Mind Is Without Fear” is a thought-provoking poem by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.   When Tagore composed this poem his mind was confined by the chains of slavery-like any other common citizens of India because India was under the clutch of the British Rule where freedom was like day-dreaming.

The poet prays to God, requesting that his Nation be free of persecution and that each individual be allowed to raise his head high. There should be no dread in the environment. The country should be a place where information is accessible to everyone, regardless of caste, gender, or religion, and is provided free of charge. He dreams of a country that is not "broken up into fragments" by biases and beliefs, but rather one in which everyone is unified.
