Where I've Been

It has been one of those weeks where my life has just totally taken over blogging so BTCE has had to take a back seat lately. I'm starting to get to the stage where I just don't feel like there are enough hours in the day to keep up with all of the assignments, dissertation chapter drafts and presentations this semester so I have been on a mission lately to take some sort of control again. This has meant many days of being glued to the laptop typing my life away, and I'm happy to say I'm getting there.
My dissertation has been a huge stress lately as I've been having no luck finding people to interview for my primary research but after a couple of positive emails in the past couple of days I think that it could be going somewhere now (fingers crossed). My decision to study the career experiences of ethnic minority managers seemed to have backfired on me as the access just wasn't there but hopefully things will be a lot more positive now! Now I just need to get finished with my literature review and methodology chapter..
Uni work seems to have taken over my life but when I'm not stressing over word counts I'm spending some relaxing time with David or working away at my lovely little job. I seriously couldn't be happier with my job as I'm working with the loveliest people and the days just seem to fly by when I'm in the shop. Little card and gift shops are the way to go, trust me! I've been picking up a few extra shifts here and there which is always great for saving up Christmas money and the shopping has already started so I'm feeling a bit more organised.
Speaking of David, he really has been the biggest help and I don't know how I could have coped with this stress without him. Whether it has been a cuddle to cheer me up or making me laugh with random YouTube videos (David if you're reading this, I still can't get the Hitman doughnut out of my head..). Come December it will be 3 and a half years for us and I really can't believe how fast the time has flown by. I'm very much looking forward to another Christmas together and everything else that comes our way.
This post has turned into a bit of a ramble and I think I'm just enjoying a quick break before I get stuck back into trying to make sense of journals. Today has definitely been a no make-up, hair in a messy bun and living in a baggy hoodie and joggers day and I for one have been loving it. You also can't beat a bit of the Spice Girls to sing along to while you're working..
How have you all been getting on lately?
