What To Wear For: Date Night at a Restaurant

By Whattowearfor @whattowearfor

You may have seen in my post a few days ago (see here) that The Boy and I went for a lovely relaxing meal on Friday evening. I love spending time alone, just the two of us doing coupley things, especially having a nice meal and a few drinks somewhere chilled. To be fair, who doesn’t like to be wined and dined?

Anyway, we went to The Rusty Gun, a relaxed pub/restaurant in the Hertfordshire countryside – see my review of it here. And here’s what I wore:

What To Wear For: Date Night at a Restaurant

This is the ultimate sexy date-night dress. Firstly, it has sheer sleeves. Secondly, it has a silky bib panel with buttons you can do-up or undo accordingly. Thirdly, it looks like you’re wearing a man’s shirt (always sexy). Forthly, it loose-fitting so no need to worry about how much you eat in this. Fifthly, it falls into the timeless category of the LBD. WIN, win and win.

This one was a little something I picked up from Next in the sale a few years ago and it has been worn time and time again for such occasions – meals, restaurants, date nights etc. I always feel good in it, and I don’t think I look too bad in it either. It is quite short, so opaque tights are a must.

Sometimes I team it with lacy heels, but tonight I wore these adorable velvety pumps I bought from Primark (see here).

I like to wear this with bright red lippie and voluminous hair for added va-va-voom.

What do you think?
