What's In My Back Yard?

By Karencalladine

As promised here is my round up of brands that are local to me. Although I live in Nottinghamshire, I am only a stones throw away from Derbyshire and Leicestershire. It is here that most of my choices are based.
   What's In My Back Yard?
My first choice is from Derbyshire Pure Thoughts who use traditional methods to produce their stunning range of soaps, balms, scrubs and butters. The website lists ingredients used in each product and there is a nice section about the properties of the ingredients they use. I love the Foot Repair Balm, it is so rich and nourishing. They also have a good range of try me sizes, which always pleases me. I am slightly obsessed with samples.
   What's In My Back Yard?
Botanicals are based in Melton Mowbray and are certified organic by the Soil Association. I heard from Ana Goes Green that they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary and are having a make over. The results look very sleek. I love their Rose & Camilla Facial Oil. Again they have very clear information about their products and ingredients. I think they make such high quality products at very affordable prices.
      What's In My Back Yard?
Eve of St Agnes comes from Derby and is another brand that has recently undergone a make over. I really like the new style packaging and website. Products are made in small batches and are clearly made with love. There is lots of information about the ingredients they use. I have tried the Bamboo Exfoliating Polish and the Hydrating Facial Silk and have been very impressed with them both.
Luxury Cleansing Balm Gift Bag, natural cosmetics, facial cleanser, organic skincare, organic facial care, pinks boutique
My final brand is Pinks Boutique and this is brand that is firmly on list to try. This brand gets a lot of love from bloggers and I didn't realize they were from Derby until I started putting this post together. They are without a doubt a luxury brand, but what girl doesn't love a spot of pampering. This goes to show that there many fantastic brands we have in our back yards just waiting to be discovered.
Being the nosey devil that I am I would love to know what is local to you. If you fancy posting your picks please do, or leave me a comment below.
