PinkWhen Penguin! I have had a lot of people ask me recently to tell them exactly what PinkWhen is, and how did I ever come up with that name?Well first of all, if you are planning on building a website on crafts and recipes and healthy food choices, you should probably call your site something that reflects that image. Marketing 101, right? Then your targeted audience will know what you are all about. Well, I went for a little bit of a different route...
PinkWhen is a name that popped up with the little ones. While at the zoo in Houston a little over a year ago, the family and I were looking for the penguin exhibit. Little D couldn't say "penguin", so he kept asking for the "PinkWhen". I couldn't help but fall in love with the name, and no matter how hard he tried, it always came out "PinkWhen."
The idea had been blossoming for some time to create a website, blog, and share with others all of the things I like to do. While I was pondering those ideas and thinking about what to name it, all I could keep thinking of was that cute name "PinkWhen". So, without thinking of what I should really name the site (to reflect the ideas shared on here) I thought about what I liked the best and what a cool thing that could start from a fun trip to the zoo and a search for the "PinkWhen".
That was all a little over a year ago. Since then, a site has been born, a name has been shared, and the PinkWhen has finally been found, it is alive and well and on the world wide web.
