I was trying to work out yesterday, what is it about luxury beauty items that get's us excited?To be honest all makeup and skincare gets my heart pounding but there is something special about buying something from a high end brand.
I think the packaging has a lot to do with it, more expensive items always have sturdy eye catching packaging that just screams good quality. I also think a lot of the time you do get what you pay for so products often perform better. (Though not always the case)
My favorite items to buy or receive as gifts from luxury brands are lipsticks or eyeshadow palettes. I love the feel of applying an expensive lipstick when out, it just makes you feel special.
When it comes to eyeshadow palettes I am like a magpie, especially if it is a neutral palette. I'm actually not sure what it is that makes me feel so giddy about them but I do.
It is a funny thing and to someone who doesn't love or obsess over make up it is probably very strange but I know most of you reading will understand.
