What I Wore: Long Day’s Journey

What I Wore: Long Day’s Journey Top: LOFT | Skirt: LOFT | Bag: Latico | Shoes: Nine West | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Some days are longer than others and it's nice when your outfit lasts as long as you do. On this day I got to work at 7am, left early for a doctor's appointment, stopped by Union Market in DC to visit the Dagne Dover pop-up shop and meet the CEO of Dagne Dover, Melissa Mash. Got home, had enough time to brush my teeth and put down my laptop bag and we were off to a rehearsal for a wedding Karl was shooting the next day. Karl took this photo after the rehearsal and it's clear Emerson and I both were spent, though my outfit still looks relatively fresh. This skirt and top looks like a dress when put together, but the skirt is cute on its own with a colorful tank or tee and I wore the top with wide-leg white linen pants and flat sandals and liked the effect. It's funny when this set arrived in the mail I thought I looked like a circus tent in it. I bagged it up to return but tried it on before I returned it one more time and fell for it. The skirt is elastic and drawstring, unlined, and doesn't cling in humidity. The only thing missing is pockets!

What I Wore: Long Day’s Journey

I bought this bag two years ago from MYHABIT ( just seen on the blog yesterday) and it's a great bag for long days - not heavy, small and flat enough to be a comfortable crossbody but big enough to hold my everyday wallet, sunglasses case, and even my planner. I like how Latico bags don't have trendy details or logos, making them bags you can wear with style for years to come.
