Cane Corso in an ancient breed, one of the two native Italian mastiff-type dogs descended from the canis Pugnaces of Rome. These dogs are extremely athletic, loyal, and versatile, traits that developed because of their role as all-around farm dogs in rural Italy. The breed is known for its muscular physique and imposing appearance.  Cane Corsos are big, fearsome dogs ! They played home games at the Boleyn Ground from 1904 until the end of the 2015–16 season when they moved to the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The club was founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks and reformed in 1900 as West Ham United.  West Ham have been winners of the FA Cup three times, in 1964, 1975, and 1980. West Ham United winger Michail Antonio has slammed his team, speaking to BBC Sport, claiming stupidity cost them all three points against Stoke City. The Hammers hosted Mark Hughes’ team at the London Stadium on Saturday looking to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Everton. They looked on course to do just that after a goal from Antonio, later credited as an own goal from Glenn Whelan, had put them in front in the 65th minute.
There is more news as its  striker Andy Carroll was threatened at gunpoint on his way home from training.  Carroll, 27, was driving home alone to Essex in his £100,000 Mercedes G-Wagon when he was confronted at a junction by two motorcyclists, one brandishing a gun. They threatened Carroll and demanded he pull over but the West Ham striker, fearing for his life, sped off in a bid to escape. The would-be assailants failed to keep up with Carroll as he drove at speed. On reaching the training ground he left his top-of-the-range SUV vehicle and ran to reception seeking help. Sources said Carroll was ‘shaken and stunned’. Team-mates were alarmed as they struggled to take in events and club staff immediately rushed to his aid. Now with more news emerging, it is revealed that the star ordered two fearsome £15,000 (Rs.12.54 lakhs) guard dogs in the months leading up to the ordeal. The breed, called Cane Corsos, can weigh up to seven-and-a-half stone. The animals are renowned for being excellent guard dogs, which can be trained to be safe around children. But they have also been involved with vicious attacks, including the killing of Craig Sytsma, 46, in Michigan in 2014. The director of the company which sold the animals to the football star said the dogs are to be  delivered very soon. Richard Douglas, director of Chaperone K9 in Leicestershire, told The Sun on Sunday: They are not aggressive animals in the slightest, until called upon.' Mr Douglas continued: 'Footballers are obviously targeted individuals. They want something that when they go away will keep their family safe.' He declined to reveal how much the dogs cost, but said prices start at £15,000. Carroll has also hired a bodyguard since the ordeal.  West Ham have since beefed up security at their Rush Green training base and will offer Carroll, who earns £90,000 a week, any support he needs in the aftermath of his lucky escape. During his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Hammers manager Slaven Bilic revealed the incident has left everyone shocked. Carroll, who has a two year old son, Arlo, with fiancee Billi Mucklow, a star of TV show TOWIE, was driving a £100,000 Mercedes G-Wagon when he was targeted.  No arrests have been made in connection with the robbery, which was exclusively reported by Sportsmail.   With regards – S.
