These past few months have been an intense time of change. I've spent a lot of time traveling and taking care of family stuff.
The last four weeks, I've been away from Austin visiting with family and friends. I originally hoped to do a lot of writing while I was away, but that plan fell through. I spent the bulk of my time up in Michigan visiting my parents. I had hoped to treat it as something of a writers retreat, however, I came home to a fairly unhappy and stressful situation and spent most of my time acting as caregiver instead relaxing and writing. The situation in Michigan is slowly getting better, but it's still on my mind a lot.
Once I got back to Texas, I had a whirlwind week of unpacking, catching up on housework and paperwork, and the pleasant task of helping one of my best friends find a place to live here in Austin. It was an intense week (but so much fun) that left me with almost no free time.
My house is once again clean and organized and everyone is settled back in. I anticipate a busy week, but have scheduled some time for blogging so things *should* get back to normal around here with posts happening 3-4 times a week.
