Weekend Recap

weekend recap

In a season when many are finishing school, revving up for the warmer months and attempting to organize their lives, sometimes it’s necessary to trade responsiveness for relaxation and escape from it all. For us, Cinco De Mayo was no crazy party; but a day of wandering the town scouring the best treats and simply taking it easy.

We roamed the streets of San Juan’s historic Los Rios District, the oldest continually-occupied neighborhood in California, and stopped for street-side grub at the popular Aurora’s Taqueria in Dana Point. The sun was out, gelato was snagged (“Bacio”, dark chocolate hazelnut, is my favorite flavor! We had it at our wedding), and good laughs with the husband made for a wonderful weekend.

I even had the time to complete a set of wine bottles for a recent giveaway winner at Linsi Brownson’s Inspired Design Daily (and still managed to get spray paint all over my face, hair, and in my ears. Total awesomeness).

How were your days off? Did you do any relaxing or Cinco De Mayo-ing? Have a fabulous week!

P.S. - Don’t miss out on the $20 gift card from Sneakpeeq and FREE lifestyle photoshoot giveaways! Both contests ending soon!
