Wedding Week: Taking a Day Off

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

We are less than a week away from our big day and I am so excited! We did things our way and will be surrounded by amazing friends and family. It was a lot of work and there were so many things we did ourselves and with friends/family helping to save money, make it more personal and have everyone enjoy the day.

Through all the craft making, errand running, emails, phone calls, texts, and just plain craziness the last few months we planned the weekend before the wedding to be off. To have a few days to de-stress and just have fun.

Yesterday we spent the day doing “normal” things. What life will be like after all this planning. We slept in, got a great workout in, made a big breakfast of french toast (it had been years since I had last eaten french toast, so darn good) and then headed outside for some fun.

We hung out with friends for a bit, played some bean bag toss, lounged around with the dogs and just relaxed. Messed around with a new lens for a bit and just enjoyed the day. I strongly recommend to anyone planning a wedding to take a day off the week before and just be yourselves.

This is what we needed! A chance to laugh, play games and NOT think about all the things left on our to do list.
