The new online shop has been slow to catch on, perhaps because most of our customers are elderly and therefore unlikely to do any online shopping. We advertise our online shop on all of the slips that we currently use and we have dropped flyers advertising our online shopping facility to a couple of estates in town. The flyers did result in one new customer who has now placed two online orders, and just last night another order was placed via our shop for £31.40 by a totally new customer. When we deliver the order we will ask how they came to find out about our shop.
We have also been collecting customer email addresses when we can so that we can start to send them regular information about offers, product video's etc.
So even though progress has been slow, it can only pick up over time as long as we keep putting the information out there.
