Netflix has released the official trailer and artwork for the upcoming comedy series “Family Reunion,” starring Tia Mowry Hardrict and Loretta Devine.
“Family Reunion”, which is penned entirely by black writers, stars Tia Mowry Hardrict as Cocoa McKellan, a free-spirited, fun, conscious mother from Seattle. When she and her former football-playing husband Moz and their four children travel from their home in the big city to the small town of Columbus, Georgia for the McKellan family reunion, they get to know an extended family they didn’t even realize they were missing. From 3-hour church services and huge humidity hair to M’Dear’s home cooking and family bonding, the everyday ups and downs of Family Reunion are real, memorable, toe tapping, heart stopping, laugh out loud authentic moments.
Devine plays the loving but strict matriarch of the family, M’Dear.
The series premieres July 10th on Netflix.
