Watch Dogs’ resolution and frame rate remains something of a mystery as Ubisoft declines to comment and Sony pulls back on the claims regarding the PS4 version’s performance.
Yesterday, A PlayStation website claimed that the PS4 was the only way to enjoy Watch Dogs at 1080p with a frame rate of 60FPS.
Sony has now quietly rolled back the relevant text from its website, as spotted and screengrabbed by GameInformer.
The boast was widely published, as it highlights an ongoing rivalry over the performance of cross-platform games on PS4 and Xbox One. Publishers and platform holders have, in general, been rather quiet on the subject.
Watch Dogs releases in just a couple of weeks, so we can all judge for ourselves when it hits.
