Washi Fun!

By Jcchris
Hey creative ladies! It's great to be back to share with you a simple tutorial I created for my card.
PhotobucketWashi tapes are still very popular among scrapbookers, cardmakers & crafters. Well to be honest, I am still collecting. Lol. This time round, I got an idea to create background using washi tapes on my card.
PhotobucketHere are the tapes I decided to use. Beautiful shades of green.
PhotobucketFirst, all you have to do is to paste the tapes horizontally. Overlap them as you go.
PhotobucketOnce you are done, turn it over to the back and cut the access off.

Here I used Sillhouette Cameo to cut out the words. You may try using sizzix dies to create such effect too.
PhotobucketAfter the cut, I apply some adhesive onto the card.
PhotobucketPaste a card stock onto the words.

Here's the completed card. Hope you like it & do share with us if you have created something similar :)Have a pleasant day!
