Garry Kasparov, the former World Chess Champion, lived in Russia -- and he saw that country move from a communist state to a brief democracy, and then morph into another authoritarian government (under Putin).
Kasparov has a warning for citizens of the United States. He sees the U.S. trodding the path toward an authoritarian government -- much like Russia moved from it's fragile democracy to a Putin dictatorship.
Kasparov sent the following 8 tweets back in December, but they are even more relevant today, as Trump continues to attack the government agencies of this country.
