I have naturally poker straight hair so I like to mix things up with curls, and this is happening a lot more of a thing now that I like the extra volume and bounce in my hair. I tend to reach for my Enrapture Totem Styler when it comes to creating curls or waves in my hair, but I've found that my hair hasn't been doing a good job of holding the curls for very long so some sort of curl enhancing spray was a must. Enter the VO5 Curl Scrunching Spray which I managed to pick up in Savers for just £1.99 a few weeks ago.
This curl boosting spray is intended to help shape curls and calm frizz, as well as fix your curls in place after using tongs. I like to spray this product in combed hair before using the curling tongs and I find that it does a great job of holding the curls in place during the day (and even overnight). It's also a heat protectant so it's safe to use with the tongs, don't you worry! I also like to spray a little bit of this on the ends of my freshly curled hair just to make sure that the curls stay in place and that the ends are left with a curl at the very least. I also love this spray for taming any frizzy bits of hair or flyaways as they can be a problem when you curl your hair. I haven't tried using this spray when scrunching towel dried hair as I don't tend to use this technique for adding waves to my hair, but I'll be sure to check back and let you know how that goes when I give it a try.
All in all this was a great bargain in Savers and I'm so glad to have the VO5 Curl Scrunching Spray on hand when I'm curling my hair. My curls last longer and my hair is protected from heat styling, so I couldn't ask for anything else!
