Vivo X20 Plus With In-Screen Fingerprint To Be Unveiled On January 24

Vivo is all set to be the World’s first company to launch a smartphone with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Recently the phone was showcased in CES 2018 as well. Today Vivo has officially announced that the Vivo X20 Plus in-screen fingerprint variant will be unveiled globally on January 24.

While the launch invite does not reveal much about the device, it does share some basics of the upcoming smartphone in Vivo. The Launch event is scheduled on 24th January in Beijing, China at 7.30 PM local time.

Apart from being the first phone with a fingerprint sensor, powered by Synaptics, located beneath the display, the Vivo X20 Plus will house a 6.43-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will house a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and will have 128GB of Internal storage.

On the optics part, The Vivo X20 Plus will come with a dual rear camera setup with the primary sensor being 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel secondary camera, while a 12-megapixel shooter will be present on the front. The phone will be powered by a 3800 mAH battery.

The price of Vivo X20 Plus is not clear, however, if the sources are to be believed, the phone will be priced around 3,999 Yuan or US $625. We will have to wait for the official announcement regarding the Vivo X20 Plus global availability as that will only be announced during or post the launch event.
