Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot Review

By Megan Daly @__MissMeg__

vichy normaderm hyaluspotNow in terms of spot treatments, I hold every new product I try against my holy grail La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+  when trying it out. I had heard great things about the Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot treatment so when I saw it on deal in my local pharmacy I picked it up to test it out. I have a problem resisting things on promotion…

I like the packaging, the dispenser is metal and easily distributes the product. Now Vichy recommends using the metal dispenser to apply the gel directly to your skin, however I don’t think that is the most hygienic way to use it so I just apply it on to a clean fingertip and dab it on.

According to Vichy the Hyaluspot ‘creates an invisible and protective film on the surface of the skin to protect the imperfection’ and causes blemishes and marks to appear reduced. I found the clear gel leaves your skin feeling fresh and forms a clear barrier that protects your blemish and helps reduce it by encouraging the skin’s natural healing capabilities.

I found it works pretty similarly to Effaclar Duo+, it will shrink that mountain on your chin to a mere molehill in a matter of hours and it should disappear completely in a day or two.

However I did find that it can leave be slightly sticky on your skin, so applying make up on top doesn’t really work if you apply too much of the gel. Which I usually do at night, I slather any blemishes with it and hope I wake up and they have disappeared. You only need a small bit of product so it should last you ages! Unlike it’s La Roche-Posay cousin, I found this product didn’t dry out my skin or leave it feeling flakey. Which is a definite plus.

What else should you know? Well its non comedogenic, paraben and silicone free, dermatologically tested and costs about €10 depending where you pick it up. You can get it in Boots, most pharmacies and a lot of big supermarkets.

Have you tried this product out or any similar blemish treatments that you would recommend? Let me know in the comments
