Vermicelli Kheer

Ingredients :

2 tablespoon ghee butter

Vermicelli Kheer

1/4 cup vermicelli (sevaiyan)
1/2 cup sugar
4 cups milk
½ cup condense milk
1/4 cup chopped dried fruits
2 tablespoon raisins (kismis)
2 tablespoon dates (khajur)
1 teaspoon chironji
1/4 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
2-3 pinch saffron (kesar)
 

Method:

Heat the ghee in a deep pan, add the vermicelli and fry till it turns golden brown. Keep a side
Boil the milk and saffron  in a deep non-stick pan. Add fried vermicelli, mix well and cook on medium heat for 5=8 minutes..
Add the sugar, condensed and stir till the sugar dissolves.
Now Add the dry fruits and raisins, mix well and allow it to simmer for 3 - 4 minutes.
Add the fresh dates, chironji, cardamom powder and and simmer for another 1 -2 minutes. If the sheer korma is too thick, add a little hot milk or water and mix gently.
Remove from the flame and serve hot or cold garnished with dry fruits of choice
