Vegan on the Go: Perkier Bars + Win a Month’s Supply!

By Natalie Tamara @thetofudiaries

It’s no secret around here that I’m a snacker.

Read on to find out about my latest snack crush and for the chance to win a month’s supply.

Cacao & Cashew Quinoa Perkier Bar | Vegan

Perkier started out making indulgent gluten-free snacks but have more recently turned their attentions to creating healthier (still gluten-free) snacks. This means Perkier bars are little packages of sticky, moreish goodness packed with the whole foods and nutrients your body needs to thrive. Ingredients such as quinoa, goji berries, cacao, chia seeds, sprouted buckwheat and cashews are some of the wholefoods you’ll find in the bars.

Since Perkier are touted as being full of slow release energy, my idea was to eat them mid-afternoon when I need a pick-me-up, but in all honesty, most of them only made it as far as lunchtime because I simply couldn’t wait.

These are the four flavours I tried:

  • Cashew, Chia & Pumpkin Seed Quinoa Bar
  • Goji & Cranberry Quinoa Bar
  • Cranberry & Cashew Oat Bar with Sprouted Buckwheat
  • Cacao & Cashew Quinoa Bar

I must say, the cacao bar was the biggest winner for me – it’s rich and chocolately, sweet but not too sweet, and has the occasional big chunk of cashew nut.
