Now that Christmas has come and gone and the new year is on it's way, we all know that it's time to look forward to the next big holiday- Valentine's Day. While I'm pretty positive I've never had a "Valentine" of my own, that doesn't stop me from enjoying the day and spending it with people I love. Last year I threw a Vintage Inspired Valentine's Day Party and I'm getting a jump start on this year's dessert and gift ideas.
While shopping at Walmart I couldn't help but grab the new M&M's® Strawberry and DOVE® Valentine's Day tin; I knew they'd be the perfect addition to my Valentine's Day Gift Idea which can be gifted to friends, neighbors, or loved ones. I decided to use the M&M's® Strawberry for my Blondie recipe which can be baked for two or in a larger pan, then sliced and wrapped up to hand out to those you care about.
To make the Blondies you will need:
1 3/4 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
12 tbsp melted Butter
2 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
1 cup M&M's® Strawberry
Directions:
In a bowl, whisk together your dry ingredients- flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, melt your butter and let it cool, then add the brown sugar and stir until combined. Add in your eggs and vanilla, then fold that into the bowl with the dry ingredients. When they are completely combined, add in your chocolate chips and M&M's® Strawberry. You will bake them at 350° for 20-25 min on the middle rack.
I made mine in two separate batches. The first was in a small ruffle baking dish and topped with ice cream, it's perfect for two people to share on Valentine's Day. The second was in a small baking sheet so that I could cut them up afterward and give them out to friends.
