United Arab Emirates - a brilliant place for a photographer

United Arab Emirates - a country of amazing contrasts, but also a great place for a photographer. During my 10-day stay in Dubai and Abu Dhabi I had my camera with me almost all the time. It was, among others, Samsung NX30 with 10 mm f / 3.5 fisheye, 12-24 mm f / 4-5.6 and 85 mm f / 1.4 lenses. I invite you to look at the photo gallery.

Medinat Jumeirah - is a combination of a hotel and a promenade, along which you will find many restaurants and bazaars. It is worth visiting because of the proximity of the Burj al Arab hotel, which is constantly emerging from among the buildings.

Leaving Medinat Jumeirah, you must enter the palm-shaped island, and then drive along the perimeter to stop at the end of the "leaf". From there, we'll see the panorama of Dubai - Burj al Arab, Burj Khalifa and other buildings in the center of Dubai.

While in Dubai, it is worth going to Abu Dhabi, the main city of the UAE, about 120 km away. However, it is necessary to equip yourself with coffee - there are virtually no curves on the entire 5-lane highway, which makes the road extremely boring.

In Abu Dhabi is the Ferrari World theme park with the fastest roller coaster in the world. However, I am not a fan of this type of entertainment, so I was satisfied with the view of several engines from the Italian manufacturer's models.

They will be in Abu Dhabi it is impossible not to visit the great Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which makes an amazing impression - it is huge (8 in the world) and beats flawless white.

Abu Dhabi itself is definitely a city other than Dubai. It is more like our European metropolises, it is greener, and there are definitely more people on the streets. Dubai is mainly a city of office buildings, hotels and shopping centers.

Dubai is currently one of the most impressive cities in the world. This applies primarily to architecture. The magnificent buildings that can be found in this city far outweigh those known to us from Polish cities. In Dubai, you can see the power that was built thanks to the large money coming from the sale of oil.

The most amazing skyscrapers in Dubai are certainly worth describing because they are among the greatest attractions of the modern world. So below is a short list of those skyscrapers that can make the most impressive in Dubai.

Burj Khalifa, formerly Burj Dubai should definitely be at the top of the list.

It is the tallest building in the world, at the same time imposing a fantastic figure, presenting the full fantasy of local architects. This 828-meter giant was built in honor of the President of the United Arab Emirates. There are many analogies to Islamic symbolism in it, thanks to which it fits in with the general character of not only the city and country, but also the entire region in which it lies. Burj Khalifa is one of the city's symbols, which, given its height and figure, is not surprising.

What's in this breathtaking building?

First of all, here is the hotel designed by Armani. On the upper floors, and there are 240 of them in total, there are private apartments, in addition you can find luxury apartments and offices of companies with global reach.

Princess Tower, measuring 414 meters high, is in turn the world's tallest residential building.

It was built in 2010, and its purpose was to meet the demand for luxury apartments located in the city center in a convenient location. All these conditions are met by apartments located in the Princess Tower. Near the city there are many shopping centers, entertainment venues, etc.

It is a building that does not differ in silhouette from most of the city's buildings, clearly referring to Islamic symbolism. In addition to this symbolism, you can see the splendor typical of Dubai.

Equally splendor accompanied the design of the 23 Marina building.

It is the second largest residential building in Dubai and in the world. Its construction was completed in 2012. The height of the skyscraper is 395 meters, on which 89 floors are located. Like the Princess Tower described above, 23 Marina is in a very convenient location, adjacent to shopping centers and places where you can experience entertainment. It is also a point close to transport hubs.

The Hotel Burj al Arab cannot be missed on this list.

It is a building that is one of the symbols of Dubai, known for many postcards from the city. There are many factors to mention, which is why this building is amazing. First of all, it belongs to the highest and most luxurious hotels in the world. In addition, his silhouette is eye-catching - definitely unusual, even for Dubai. An additional element here is the fact that this building is built outside the mainland, on an artificial island created especially for this hotel.

The great and beautiful buildings of Dubai could be exchanged for a very long time.

The above list is only a fragment of how wonderful this city is. It's best to find out for yourself when traveling to Dubai.

Being in Dubai you must visit Dubai Marina, where along the canal stretches a promenade with numerous restaurants, and buildings several hundred meters long can take your breath away.

Burj Khalifa is an amazing building - it is over 800 meters high and can be seen from anywhere in Dubai. Suddenly, all the other buildings we've seen become smaller. I used to think that Sky Tower in Wroclaw is high, then the World Financial Center in Shanghai made a huge impression on me, but it's still nothing compared to Burj Khalifa.

Around Burj Khalify we will walk along the promenade leading from Dubai Mall, the largest shopping center in the world with over 1,200 stores. You must also go to the fountain show, which takes place once every half hour from 18:00.

In the evening, it is also worth going to the palm tree to capture a similar view, which however looks much different than during the day.

Returning from the palm to the center, I drove to the beach around Burj al Arab - this hotel was until recently the most luxurious hotel in the world. Now Emirates Palace from Abu Dhabi is in the lead.

In this photo you can see what I really liked during my stay in Dubai - evening rides on Sheikh Zayed Road, which is the main thoroughfare of the city that leads between skyscrapers. A minimum of 5 lanes in each side, an automatic metro next door and the emerging Burj Khalifa - impressive!

As I mentioned earlier - Burj Khalifa clearly towers over the city. This photo was taken from a distance of about 14 km from the center of Dubai.

Dubai is also a paradise for motoring enthusiasts. There, the chance to meet Lamborghini or Ferrari is like at our place not to see such cars in a city other than Warsaw. Particularly interesting morsels can be found near Dubai Mall and at the specially designated Valet Parking in the shopping center.

However, Dubai is not only sand, buildings and cars. In the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary park we can see a whole lot of flamingos. Interestingly, narrow tunnels lead to observation sites that look like small kiosks. All so as not to frighten the birds.
