With Jeremy in the process of moving, and Kaan celebrating the arrival of a baby boy, Ata is joined by Besiktas International writer Volkan Celik for this week’s episode of Turkish Football Weekly.  Featured this week on the podcast:

  • Week 32 results of the Turkish Super League are summarized.  The week 33 schedule, which this week features the Galatasaray-Besiktas derby, is given a rundown.
  • The Galatasaray-Genclerbirligi match from week 32 made worldwide headlines this week, and not for the right reasons.  The panelists discuss a few particular moments from the match (actually, just one moment for the most part) that got the debate on social media, and even on some traditional media, rocking.
  • The final for the Turkish Cup is set.  The results 2nd legs of the Turkish Cup semifinals are discussed.  One result wasn’t particularly expected, and the other was marred by a controversial penalty call.
  • With Besiktas now out of contention for the Turkish Super League championship, the guys debate whether Besiktas should retain Slaven Bilic as manager of the club after this season is over.
