Travel Guide: Packing for London, UK

By Bigcitylittleblog @feakins

Our trip starts with a red-eye flight on Thursday night. Since you're traveling against the clock (at least you are from NYC) this is the best option if you don't want to lose daylight. In order to arrive bright eyed and bushy tailed on Friday morning, we're going to need to get some shut-eye. Invest in a quality neck pillow (memory foam is best) and a sleep mask and you'll feel right at home. Ear plugs are a good idea too, if you're sensitive to noise.

You'll want to soak in the history and culture, so make sure to bring comfortable walking shoes. Sneakers are back in style all over the globe and are more than appropriate for every-day wear.

If sneaks aren't your thing, consider some pretty flats that can transition from day to night. Whether they're slip-on mules, oxford shoes, or low-heeled boots, these babies will keep your feet happy for hours on end.

England is known for it's unpredictable weather. It can be sunny one minute and rain the next, so you'll want to be prepared. For the warmer months, a brimmed hat will keep the sun out of your eyes, while a beanie might be necessary in the fall and winter.
