I am a big fan of Brett Heyman, the designer of the handbag line Edie Parker. I recently bought an acrylic skull clutch of hers, in collaboration with Libertine, that I named Mike (that's another story). I am endlessly fascinated by knowing who is behind the labels that I purchase. The company is named after one of Brett's two children. Acrylic is a medium that has endless possibilities with a vintage or mid century aesthetic; a 1950's or 60's vibe that fascinates Brett, but was falling out of favor and became hard to find. Everything is made in America. Some styles can be monogramed and customized for a truly personal look.

Brett often displays her bags on shelves throughout the home. In daughter Edie's room her monogrammed clutch serves as a night light, because the letters glow in the dark. What a nice surprise!

The family is a little rock and roll with color in the city, and a little bit neutral in the country ~ The homes are Mark Cunningham designed and contain an art collection anyone would envy.

Edie Parker is now expanding into home accessories, including trays, towels, coasters, and boxes, with more to come. Everything is happy and whimsical. That's thinking outside of the lucite box!
