Top Boots for AW16
Goodness! It has been a fair while since I did something heavily fashion related, so you're in for a treat today with some content on top trendy boots for this Autumn. If you raided my wardrobe you'd possibly find more boots than sandals or platforms - I love them! As soon as it's weather appropriate, it is bye bye summer attire hello creatures of footwear comfort! After attending the oh so fabulous Next #ProjectTaxi event the other week, I got seriously hooked on the boots they were launching for AW16. The idea of the event was that you can still be totally on trend but still be able to walk easily! Sounds like my kind of thinking...
We all know that dreaded stiletto fear when you've got a 10 minute walk, but you're frightened you'll fall flat on your face. You may start walking like John Wayne or perhaps simply begin shuffling along trying to remain effortlessly chic, when actually you're failing miserably! With this in mind I've selected some of my favorite styles for the season, after being inspired by what Next had to offer at their event.  If you are a boots fiend like me, I'd say these particular trends are nailed by Next this season - they truly have serious boot game and I love it!
1 Metallics // You won't be able to really go shopping without seeing a shimmer of metallic glow.  It started to hit the high street end of August and has been seeping in thick and fast. To be honest it goes hand in hand with the time of year but somehow this year it seems even bigger. I love subtle metallics, for example nothing bright and garish just something quite chic. This is also a cheeky cross over because the design above are a classic chelsea boot, a style you will never have a fashion fail with! Pewter Metallic Leather Chelsea Boots
2 // Sock  // The sock boot is one of my favourites. Next did some amazing designs for Autumn last year, but this year they've gone one step further. I'd be lying massively if I told you I loved velvet, in fact I hate it... sorry hated it... no idea what is going on this year but I'm adoring it. Can't quite believe I've even said that! In all seriousness though, the design of this kind of boot is a certain must - have, whether you like the velvet look or just want a classic black leather style, this is top of my shopping list for boots. Embossed Velvet Block Heel Boots
3 // Old Skool // Debating back and forth with this one, perhaps it is a nostalgia thing?! They remind me of Kickers boots that were around in the 90s! For the reason... and perhaps that reason alone they've made it onto my list. Black Leather 90's Style Lace Up Plaforms
4 // Animal Print // I have theses utterly gorgeous boots and find they're on my feet more so than any other style. I am very fond of leopard print and felt getting some boots was a good option for Autumn. I will admit part of did contemplate whether it was a bit much, but in the end I thought sod it! These are fabulous with jeans but my personal favorite is a denim skirt and thick tights. Animal Print Suede Pixie Ankle Boots
5 // Embroidered // These carefully detailed boots just look beautiful, don't they? Embroidered items seem to be a solid trend this season and from what I can see, Next have embraced this throughout their collections. I have even seen these stunning sheer tops from Next with embroidered details, but unfortunately they're that good they've completely sold out! However the boots are still in stock. Floral Embroidered Shoe Boots
6 // Cut away // Cut away boots are still here even after the past season. Next haven't exactly gone cut away crazy this time, but this design caught my eye. This boot comes in a variety of colours but I was mostly tempted by the green shade. Green Open Side Shoe Boots
The best thing about boots is that often enough you can actually dress them up or down. I'm all about these key trends in boot designs, and Next really have got it spot on for us this Autumn. What boots and or trends are you loving this Autumn?
