Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip Review
Hey Everyone,

Today I would be reviewing Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip. I love using hair masks once a week to deep condition my hair and it’s been long since I reviewed a hair mask on the blog. It’s just because I have been neglecting hair masks in my hair care routine these days. But now, I’m trying to be consistent with hair masks in my routine!

My Take on Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip:

Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip comes in a brown printed rectangular cardboard box and the actual product comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. The tub is quite light in weight and can be carried around in bag without any fear of leakage. The mask is white in color and has a strong perfume like fragrance which goes off as soon as you rinse your hair.

The consistency of the mask is not very thick like most hair masks. It doesn’t feel silky soft on application like it should feel seeing its consistency, it kind of feels that you are applying a normal conditioner and not a mask as a hair mask should feel quite silky and soft on application and should spread easily, this doesn’t feel that way and I have to literally take each part of my hair separately and apply it. The quantity of the product is quite less and you can get maximum 8-9 use with it if you apply it generously everytime you use it. It is easy to spread and when you rinse it off, it rinses off as a foamy residue which makes me doubt that it has high contents of surfactants in it. Though it rinses off easily!

If you use it with a good quality shampoo, it will leave your hair soft or else it doesn’t do anything extra to soften your hair or leave them silky or shiny. I don’t really think that it adds any volume to my hair, my hair is already very volumized and I don’t see much difference after using this hair mask, it in fact leaves them less volumized compared to when I use some other conditioner or mask. If nothing else, it definitely cuts down on frizz and leaves hair less frizzy other than that I don’t see any speciality in this product!

Pros of Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip:

  • Attractive packaging.
  • The packaging is sturdy, the tub is easy to carry around.
  • Reduces frizziness.
  • Nice fragrance.
  • Rinses off easily.
  • Easy to spread.

Cons of Toni & Guy Volume Pumping Whip:

  • Doesn’t add any volume to hair.
  • Not easily available.
  • Pricey!
  • Doesn’t add any softness or shine to hair.
  • Rinses off as a foamy residue!

BML Rating: 2/5

Pick or Ditch: Ditch it as I don’t think it’s worth the money! There are better options in the Indian market that does what they promise and don’t just fall for the beautiful packaging of this mask.
