Today History Will Be Made: Do Your Part!

Posted on the 06 November 2012 by Zer @the2women

Those who stay away from the election think that one vote will do no good: ‘Tis but one step more to think one vote will do no harm.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s been a long election season.  I think it’s fair to say that if you haven’t made your mind up now, you should consider flipping a coin.  Then you might consider taking a long hard look at your community awareness and seriously pay more attention to the affairs of this nation and your own life. Seriously.

But I digress, this is not a reprimand.  This is not a campaign. We’ve all had enough of that.

I won’t ask you to vote for my candidate.  I won’t ask you to vote for my issue.  I won’t ask you to vote for change or vote for America.

This is a soapbox free zone.  You’ll get enough of that at approximately 100 feet away from your local polling place.

I (on behalf of 2WC of course) have one thing to ask of you all today : GO VOTE!

Vote for you (not literally, unless you’re on the ballot), vote for the people you care about (same story), vote for whatever reason gets you to the polls today.

It’s your right, it’s your duty, and yes, it does matter.  Happy election day!
