To Blog Hop Or Not?

Do you find Blog Hopping successful? I have seen almost daily Blog Hops and have a done a couple with no great results.

I know to achieve great results you must be consistent and work at it diligently. I'm very curious about Blog Hops and which ones are successful and worth the time to hop around.
