Thru Jan. 24 – Metro to Host More 710 Community Meetings

By Wonder

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced the dates for three community meetings in January to discuss the next phase of the environmental study for the 710 N. Gap Closure Project.

The first meeting will be from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 23 at Maranatha High School, 169 S. St. John Ave., Pasadena. The second will be from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 24 at San Marino Community Church, 1750 Virginia Road, San Marino. The final meeting will be from 9-11 a.m. in the Golden Eagle Building at Cal State Los Angeles, 5151 State University Drive, Los Angeles.

The meetings will focus on the “Alternatives Analysis Report” that officials said they will complete in December. The report will outline the final five options to close the 4.5 mile freeway gap from Alhambra to Pasadena: “No build,” bus, light rail, traffic management solutions and a dual-bore freeway tunnel.
