This heavy metal band tee is the real deal - it's not from Urban Outfitters, not from a high-end NYC contempo designer - it's not even thrifted! It's left-over collateral from an ex-boyfriend, and was just begging to be styled with black sequins, black booties, and a red lip.

I'm not sure hevy metal band Sepultura would agree on the styling, but they are Brazilian, the birthplace of carnival, and thus, a sequined safehaven for over-the-top dressing. Right, guys??

Thrashin' FashionSkirt, NastyGal; Necklace, Osmanli Taki (bought in Istanbul)
Fashion inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. But, I gotta admit, my rocker/glam outfit is directly inspired by Nasty Gal's stylists, who paired this skirt with a vintage-inspired band tee and bib necklace. I loved it so much, I bought the skirt and copped the style, too!
