This Drone Video of Chicago is Absolutely Insane

By Urbanmatter Chicago @UMatterChicago

Half the time I’m at my desk, I’m surfing the web for pics of Chicago’s skyline, I mean writing… I’m definitely writing.

A few videos of the city’s most breathtaking sights have popped up this summer, and we have another new one to add to the list with this drone video of Chicago from Soaring Badger Productions. The clip captures some never-before-seen angles of Chicago’s most famous attractions.

It sure took a long time for summer to arrive this year, but we’re sure glad it got here eventually. It’s probably not too much of a stretch to say the gorgeous summer scenes in the video will help you appreciate it even more as well. All of the large attractions make an appearance, with the Sears (Willis) Tower, Grant Park, Navy Pier, and the new 606 showing off their beauty from all angles.

Soaring Badger Productions is owned by Colin Hinkle, who recently became the first person in Illinois to gain approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly drones for commercial purposes. Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing more like this in the future.

You can see more from Colin at SoaringBadgerProductions.com. You won’t want to leave, so make sure you’ve got some time on your hands.
