Most brides want to give the perfect bridesmaid gift to their girls, to show their appreciation and love. While most bridesmaids will be happy with whatever you choose to give them, there are some things you can look for to make sure your gift will be truly loved and cherished.
Meaning
Most of all, look for a gift that has meaning. It doesn't have to be expensive to have meaning, either. Something as simple as scented body lotion can be a great gift because it shows your bridesmaids that you want to pamper them. Jewelry is a great idea, because it will last long after the wedding and will serve as a memento of the special time you've had together. The most important thing is that you think of them.
One particular friend was a bridesmaid and during the "giving of the gifts," the bride and groom had totally forgotten about the bridesmaids. The next day, the bride apologized and gave the bridesmaids candles from the hotel lobby. This certainly doesn't show much meaning or thought!
Style
When thinking of the perfect bridesmaid gift, be sure to consider your bridesmaids' style. Personalizing the gifts even just a little based on each bridesmaid's style can show that you've put thought into the gift. For instance, if you're purchasing necklaces with stones, think about each bridesmaid's favorite color. Or, if you're purchasing perfume, consider each bridesmaid's signature scent.
Affordability
While many brides want to spoil their bridesmaids, most of the time, they are limited to a specific amount for each gift. When searching for fantastic bridesmaids gifts, look for ones that are affordable. There are plenty of gifts that are fantastic but don't break the bank!
