Things To Help Me Sleep

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Things To Help Me SleepIf you follow me on twitter you will know my sleep patterns are all over the place. I go through phases of not sleeping for days then all I want to do is sleep constantly.
Over the last few months I have discovered a few things that make it little easier to drift off so I thought I would share with you what they are.
One thing that stops me falling asleep is worrying about things, so I like to keep a notebook by my bed to write any thoughts down so they are not all swirling around my head. I find this definitely does help and put things in perspective. I have this little *note book from PaperBlanks which I use for blogging and for general list making. It is small so perfect to keep by the bed.
I have a couple of products from This Works that have been quite popular in the blogging community recently. I spray the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray all over my bed covers and pillows as well as on my Pj's, I then use the Deep Sleep Stress Less roller ball on my pulse point. These contain Lavender, camomile, Eucalyptus and Frankincense which are great essential oils to help you relax.
To other Lavender products I love to use are the Cowshed Knackered Cow Relaxing Body Lotion which contains lavender and Eucalyptus. I apply this to my arms so I get the scent of the fragrance but it also moisturises my skin. Also the *Aroma Squeeze Me Stress Ball from Aromatherapy Gold which is a dough ball that is full of Lavender and Bergamot that you use like a stress ball to release the essential oils to help you relax.
Once I am fully smelling like a lavender bush I try and get all cosy in my bed and hopefully drift off into sleep. This doesn't always work but 9 times out of 10 it does. Plus it is a nice little routine to do before bed to relax myself.
Have you got any tips and tricks that help you sleep?
