Apartment block beats will be booming (obviously) and then, as the clock strikes midnight, there will be a complimentary Vueve Clicquot toast and a cheeky sing along to Auld Lange Syne!

Finally, for those that love a house party but have maybe out grown the desire to sit on the floor, stairs or fence, table booking tickets are also available. For £100 in advance, or £140 on the door, these also include a further complimentary bottle of Vueve Clicquot Yellow Label on arrival – gosh Uncle Barts is just such as generous guy!

So for the best of both worlds, the comfort and cosiness of home and craziness of a party too, knock on the door at Barts…

10. MR FOGG’S: ‘A Victorian Style New Year’
For a trip back in time, rather than forward this New Year, head to Mr Fogg’s for a truly traditional Victorian themed soiree amongst friends. With the walls, doors ceilings and floors decked with bells, holly and enough of Phileas’ very own antique trinkets and paraphernalia to take you not just around the world in 80 days, but to keep you counting for 365, possibly even till 2015…no where else in London will allow you to celebrate in one place, whilst feeling as though you have experienced so many.

Tables will have a minimum spend of £50 per head, for which guests can enjoy a heart warming welcome drink courtesy of Hennessey, as well as a special seasonal gift and tray of early morning toasted sandwiches, which Phileas Fogg himself will be tucking into post-midnight at this merry time. Word has it that he will also be on hand throughout the night to top up his guests glasses with his home-made ‘traditional wassail punch’.

The countdown to midnight will be accompanied by a few notes on the resident grand piano and a sing along around the fire place…how delightful! There will then also be a little contest (we all know how Phileas loves a bit of competitiveness), with the prize of a delicious festive cocktail going to the guest that can say ‘Happy New Year’ in the most foreign and exotic of languages.

So for a journey through the times and Yuletide, venture down to Mr Fogg’s…

11. DISCO: NYE ’73 – from Deep Down Disco to Disco Diva
Forty years ago an earthquake happened in Manhattan, one who’s shockwaves would touch a million lives, forge untold friendships, and still be felt throughout the world’s nightclubs today.

That earthquake? Disco….

This year, on 31st December 2013, DISCO will take you back to where it all began, as they celebrate NYE’73 – the point at which disco moved from the undercover and underground into a fully formed grooving diva, ready to take over the world.

As ever DISCO’s resident DJs, Hugo Currie and Joey Nelson, will astound with their vinyl only entertainment, including a dedicated 1973 set to be played before midnight, that will be sure to whip their in-house disco freaks into a frenzy of anticipation for 1974, the year disco went BIG.

The musical journey will then continue throughout the night, stopping off at highpoints throughout the 70s, winking suggestively at 80s euro disco and then fully embracing the beauty of nu-disco and disco house, giving a little nod to Daft Punk of course!

Guests can also expect disco dancers, choreographed dance routines, a countdown like no other, and, the best range of disco drinks in town. There will even be a Moet NV Brut and Belvedere Pure reception that we’re sure will be bubbles and bottles galore.

So step aboard pan-am flight1973 back to the birth of disco
