Was this nation created so all its citizens could live as free men and women, and have a better life -- or was it created so a few rich people and corporations could get even richer at the expense of everyone else? We'd better make up our minds pretty fast, because the rich are stealing more of this country away from everyone else with each passing day. It won't be much longer before there's nothing left of our democracy. It is fast becoming a plutocracy, where the rich make all the rules and hog all the wealth -- and everyone else must fight for the crumbs left over.
